Nordhavn 43 meets Navnet 3D

A brand new Nordhavn 43 is ready to be outfitted with electronics. This is the 2nd N43 I've outfitted with Navnet 3D. However, this is the first project to be documented on Matrix Mariner.

This is a realatively simple system compared to some of the other yachts.  However, it is very capable, utilizing almost every feature available to each device.  There are two multi function displays.  One is in the pilothouse and is the "master", the second is on the fly-bridge and is the "slave".

With this system, the multi-function displays have the following capabilities and features:

  1. 4kw radar
  2. Three redundant gps sources on two separate data networks
    1. Furuno GP330B is connected to the radar array and information is sent through the navnet, tcp/ip network
    2. Furuno SC30 is connected to the nmea2000 network
    3. Airmar PB200 is connected to the nmea2000 network
  3. Live xm satelite weather from the Furuno BBWX1
  4. Live environment and weather from the Furuno PB200
  5. Two redundant water depth, speed and temp on two separate data networks
    1. Furuno DST800 provides depth, speed and temp the the NMEA2000 network
    2. 1kw depth sounder from the Furuno DFF1
      1. Airmar 526TID-HDD depth transducer
      2. Airmar ST-02MSB water speed and temp transducer
  6. Autopilot integration
    1. Furuno IFNMEA2k1 handles interchange of data from NMEA0183 and NMEA2000
  7. Ais receiver from the FA30
